Everything about Egyptian-American stand up comedian Sherif Hedayat is skewed, including his hair, nose and path in life. He was born in Greece, raised in Egypt and finally settled down in Dayton, Ohio. He speaks English, Arabic and French. His past careers include radio disc jockey, radio account executive, CEO of an internet company, race car driver and professional poker player before deciding to pursue a career in stand up comedy.
After leaving comedy in late 2003 he returned in December 2006 to escape the confines of a cubicle in corporate America. Since returning, he has opened for Comedy Central’s
Axis Of Evil Comedy Tour. And, he was one of 72 comedians selected to participate in Comedy Central’s
Open Mic Fight competition.
