So it goes....
Born and raised in NY to Egyptian parents, Michele is now a happy Brooklynite. Along with her love of sketch comedy (this is her 3rd year with the NY Arab-American Comedy Festival) she continues to fervently seek out socially conscious material in both film and theater. Favorite roles: 'Ambara' from Ismail Khalidi's Tennis in Nablus; 'Tanya' from Between This Breath and You, and 'Um Hisham' from State of Innocence both from playwright Naomi Wallace's, The Fever Chart: Three Visions of the Middle East. NY Theater: Ohio Theater, W.M.D. (just the low points); Fringe, Meanwhile, in Baghdad...; Algonquin Theater, A Year in the Life...; Zipper Theater, 4th & 5th NY Arab-American Comedy Festival; Dante Theater, The Dinner. Film: Anomaly (short); Great Balls of Fire (short); Web: Comedy Series Black20's net_work (episode: Death's Foyer); A student of both the William Esper Studio (Graduate) and Circle in the Square Theater School.
