Eman

Eman is a Palestinian Canadian living in Montreal. She decided to give Stand-up a shot a year ago after watching several performers on various open-mike nights and realizing "I think I can do that". As it turns out, her very first two times on stage were actually right here in New York City. Three minutes into her first set she realized that she COULD do it. She fell in love with the stage and has since dedicated most of her time to developing her stand-up act and performing at every possible opportunity. She has appeared in special one-night shows all over the city and other canadian cities. She works full time at the Comedyworks - Montreal's most famous comedy club - where she has had the opportunity to watch some of the best head-liners perform and - more importantly - to pick their brains afterwards. At the Comedyworks, she has been frequently working that stage over the past year and - in fact - has put together her own show there once a month called 'The Best of Open Mic'. This has been a great experience for Eman as it has given her the chance to produce, promote and even host the show. She is proud of what she has accomplished in just one year and is anxious to make some major waves in 2008.
