Sarah A. Abdallah is a first generation Egyptian-American and is a native New Yorker. She earned her BFA in Fine Arts and Psychology, with a concentration in Gender studies and Art Therapy. She then moved on to earn her MA at NYU and, during this time, played an active role with the Network of Arab American Professionals (NAAP) in NYC — addressing the backlash against the Arab community — whose aim is to educate and empower the Arab community and beyond in cultural, social, educational and political arenas. During the past few years, she has continued on to earn her Interior Design degree from Parsons School of Design and is currently working in a world-renowned design firm in NYC. She continues to explore different avenues of how one can bridge the issues revolving around the Arab and Arab-American communities through the arts.
