| Aaron Alcodray |
Aaron Alcodray's penchant for satire began long before his formal study as an English major at The University of Michigan-Dearborn. As early as elementary school, Aaron's parents were frequently called in to discuss with brevity their son's depiction of minorities in his short stories and poetry. These meetings were characterized by much kicking under the table, and promptly followed by ice cream.
Aaron began to broaden his scope as he got older. During an undergraduate creative writing course, another student became so frustrated by Aaron's (then anonymous) work that a "poetry war" was declared against him. The war ended with one of Aaron's poems being published in the university literary journal, and the other student dropping the course.
Aaron is currently a high school English teacher in Dearborn, Michigan, where he spends all of his energy trading blows with the most sarcastic people of all: teenagers. He is also banned from the Arabian Gulf states, but that's another story. His mom still tells him that everything happens for a reason.
