Yussef El Guindi is primarily a playwright living in Seattle. Originally from Egypt, he did his graduate studies at Carnegie-Mellon University and was playwright-in-residence for several years at Duke University. He has had plays performed around the country. His play, Karima's City, and the company that first produced it, Golden Thread Productions, presented the piece at the Cairo Experimental Theater Festival.
