Bootleg Islam presented at the 45th Street Theater. He was assistant stage manager for the 2005 New York Arab-American Comedy Festival. Prior to moving to NYC he performed on stage and behind the scenes for many shows in Chicago's vibrant storefront theatre community including: Boxer Rebellion Ensemble, Circle Theatre, Little Red Hen Theatre, Will Act For Food, Tinfish Theatre Company, Beverly Arts Center and North Park University.
