| Marie-Therese Abou-Daoud |
Marie-Thérèse Abou-Daoud was born in NYC to Palestinian immigrants hailing from Lebanon and Egypt. She studied Theatre and English at Rutgers University as well as acting at HB Studio and The New School.
Earlier this year, she gave a bilingual performance in
Republic of Iqra at Theater for the New City. She also wrote and performed
in Next Year in Jerusalem, a musical parody debuting at the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival 2005; and she appeared as the Playwright character in Passengers at the American Comedy Festival in 2004. Film work includes "Nora" in
A Good Family and "Carole" in
Tayer; both films having played in various international festivals. Marie-Thérèse has also done puppetry and children’s' theatre.
She is excited to be back this year writing and directing and thanks the wonderful people in her life who support her on this beautiful journey.
